snow bunnies!

we are so lucky to have great friends who planned a phenomenal weekend in tahoe.  all we had to do was show up!  you'd think that would be easy, but it is always quite the adventure packing the car, timing the naps and entertaining the little ones on a 4+ hour drive.  we knew we had to make a pit stop but weren't sure where to go given the frigid weather and early walker babies - thankfully we ended up at the best place imaginable - Kmart!  it was deserted, filled with toys, and had a changing table!

day 2 in the snow...didn't turn out much better than day 1

we forced them to go sledding

they were not thrilled

after tracking down a hot cocoa, we headed straight back to the car

the boys did a good job of relaxing in the evening

stopped at jamba juice on the way back- their first smoothie was a hit!

with his lovey AND his music box, this boy was in heaven

the long weekend ended with a visit from grandma vivi, uncle mike and auntie keet

to celebrate a very special birthday!
