bed rest and 34 weeks

i can't believe i've already been on bed rest for about 3 weeks now.  john has been the best nursemaid i could have asked for and i can't imagine how i would have survived without him.  i live on the couch by day and bed by night and he's always there to bring me what i need or to help me sit up, which takes considerable effort.

john and bones taking care of me while i read in bed...

Someone takes my spot on the couch when i head up to bed...

a few days ago we passed an important milestone of 34 weeks - if i go into labor now, the doctors won't try and stop it since the babies should be healthy (and happy) out of the womb.  we're still hoping for another week or two before their arrival so they can continue to grow and develop.  whether they come tomorrow or in two weeks, we still are amazed that they are coming so soon!  here are a few belly pics...i have a whole new appreciation of what our bodies can do!

end of 1st trimester -  i already had to unbutton my pants to wear them.

end of 2nd trimester - the start of feeling really, really pregnant.

7.5 months (34 weeks) - i can't believe my belly is still growing!

welcome to the pellegrini blog!

because so many of our friends and family aren't here with us in san francisco, we thought a blog would be a great way to keep our loved ones updated on this next chapter in our lives together - parenthood.  as many of you know, we've felt like parents for the past three years because of our first born and very high maintenance son, Bones, but we know this practice has not prepared us for the adventure that awaits us - two babies!!

our current baby and soon to be big brother

baby girl and baby boy...can't wait for their arrival!
