two and a half years old - independent, whiny and tons of fun! they continue to be the best of buds and love to make up new words and then laugh hysterically when we try to decipher what they are saying.
we had our 2.5 year check-up on friday - i tend to dread these doctor visits because both always cry and freak-out as soon as it's time to take their clothes off. last time, livi became a limp fish when we tried to get her height and weight, and i could barely hear the doctor over her sobbing and cries of "all done!" thanks to the 'daniel the tiger' 12-minute segment on visiting the doctor, i think the kids were much better prepared for what to expect. they were pretty amazing. the doctor even commented on how "impressive" they were, which we followed with a blank stare because it was an odd comment to hear from the doctor. but then she clarified that the vast majority of kids don't let her get near them with the blood pressure cuff until 4 years old, and ours allowed the cuff without flinching!
livi: 35.5 inches (50th percentile), 29 pounds (60th percentile)
jacks: 35 inches (30th percentile), 30 pounds (70th percentile) -- light as a feather!
