a fun and crazy july

this month has flown by, and while it's ending on a high note with the kids (they've actually been sweethearts lately, sprinkled with some livi attitude), john and i are physically exhausted! john has been working late, lyla was sick for a few days, and my running has picked up. adding a third child to the mix has also increased the time needed to do a blog post because i have so many pictures to load, sort, blah, blah, blah. there is just not enough time in a day!

welcome to ikea, lyla!

the downside of no room for me in the back is relying on the twins to help
(which they usually happily do)

favorite ikea purchase = popsicle molds

yogurt pops for breakfast!

it only took 2 years,
but jacks finally sat by himself in the chair

we then checked out a new ice cream spot together

he approved!

getting ready for her bath, john was worried she was cold

so clean!

our favorite neighborhood spot
that's a block from their preschool

coffees and croissants

4th of july celebration at kim's parents' home

little miss bashful

crazy meets cute

hanging with her favorite dad

showing off for the crowds

apparently kim and ly both shop at the gap

a compact bundle of joy

livi banished jacks from their room one afternoon

lyla was showing dari her moves

rayleen and lyla

it's a team effort to read sometimes

sleeping beauty

6 month check-up - 16 pounds, 3 ounces

farewell pump - see you next time!
(if i can trick john into #4)

morning catnap

fun at ella's 4th birthday party

show-off

in heaven with her squeezer

lyla versus the claw

glasses are irresistible

kisses!!

date night with liv so she can get
the 1:1 attention she needs

every date has to end with ice cream...or it's not a date

she was very good with sharing, but was annoyed when i
accidentally had the last bite of ice cream from the cone

off to camp

bye, dad!

fifty/fifty stop before school

they spent 15 minutes quietly watching an old man touch-up his driveway...
it was pretty thrilling

not too sure about this whole 'water' thing

what a cutie

it's seriously so hard NOT to smile at her

rest time

she loves the swing...can you tell?

lyla doesn't last long in the pool area

sadly, we may take a break from soccer...
they haven't been enjoying it lately.

now that's a cool kid

moose feet - yummy!

already into bay area sports

getting silly

waiting for the bus

standing "tall" (figuratively, of course)

looks like a friend of richard simmons

how is she this old already?

up to no good

this was definitely safer than
the other things they tried to do with the box

ladies in red....

neighborhood watch
(unfortunately, barking at the neighbors)

this is usually where i park her when i have to use the bathroom

nothing wrong with a little tee ball in the house

pure cuteness

waiting for the ferry to angel island

hanging with dad while i ran a 12k

little miss vanna white

hip hip hooray!  (i survived)

we can thank ari and kelly for introducing us to the race

we obviously had a blast!

what do i want after 7.5 miles?  ice cream, of course!

i'm not ready to share with a third monkey

the girls and i headed to the farmers' market while
the boys went on a "man date"

poor lyla had her first fever, and whined and moaned
(jacks' "friends" were the only thing that cheered her up!)

livi caught up on some much needed sleep
(read: she was a hot mess at the park)

jacks and odin headed to train town in sonoma

i'm pretty sure he had a blast!

he got to live my dream

apparently, this was their favorite attraction there

so thankful for this gentle little boy...he really is the sweetest kid i've met

success!
(john also happened to fall asleep mid-sentence in the front seat with tre)
