spending time in the spring sun!

all is great at the pellegrini house.  we've been hanging out and enjoying time together in the great outdoors...in san francisco.  poor lyla was pretty sick for awhile...the first few days with a fever and the next several days with vomiting and diarrhea.  thankfully, john was around a lot to clean up the mess as we all know i don't handle that stuff well.  after waiting and worrying, she's now back to her adorable and active self!

birthday party bound

and keeping the streets safe!

quite the spectacle as usual

a man and his sword

transferring tomato seeds to pots!

let's just say we are not all that confident this is going to work

all the little helpers were engaged for a bit

unsurprisingly, a couple kids lost interest

but not my liv!!

if he wasn't already, jacks is john's new favorite child!

when we pull up from school at 6pm on tuesdays, i stand
there while jacks wheels three huge bins inside the garage

we're hoping lyla latches on to a favorite "friend"

the babies

this almost gave me a heart attack (heels and a baby?!)

the puzzle master and his assistant

such a sweetheart

come on, john, we can totally manage just one more!

lunch with sheila

off to school

their first trip to benihana

sadly, lyla wasn't feeling great, so john and
i took turns carrying her around outside

waiting to see the pediatrician to check out this sick girl

the twins did great, but were a little restless

we were there for 1.5 hours as we waited
for lyla to pee in a bag!!

it never happened, so we ended up going home with diagnosis of 'virus'

john didn't believe she was sick so started scooter lessons

she didn't last long

jacks and his buddy

the only positive thing about a sick child
is how snuggly they are

cuties

goofing around next door

snacking on a croissant

hunting for ants

sitting tall

melting our hearts

4 years + 4 months...and 1 year + 3 months

i didn't think any child of ours would top livi, but lyla has continued to bring in the highest percentile of head circumference of the pellegrini three - 99% percentile!  she's no skinny mini either with weight just shy of 23lbs (73%).  all else went well at lyla's check-up - she's a healthy little girl and has about 5 consistent words (bones, thank you aka tata, all done, yeah, and banana aka nana).  lyla is a cuddly and sweet baby, but has some spunk and doesn't put up with her siblings' crap.

jacks and livi are doing well. nothing much new to report, except that livi is "getting in trouble" at school for being "too silly" - either being silly and disruptive when it's time to listen to the teacher, or being so silly that other kids make poor choices, or encouraging other kids to misbehave by laughing to egg them on.  we all love her happiness and sense of humor but now we have to make sure she uses that power for good and not evil!

picture number 52

to prevent crying, we bribed lyla

yep, they're related

and the solo shot!!

showing off her balance skills

yummy yogurt covered pretzel

she's a master on the big-kid play structure

smelling the roses

the kids went with john to work on a saturday to grab his computer

i think they're excited!!

i'm pretty sure john was just as excited because
he took 20 pictures covering every inch of lyft
