lyla is 3!!!!!!!

and just like that, miss lyla is 3!  thank goodness...lyla as a 2 year-old was rough...it has to go up from here, right?!?! we did her 3 year check-up and the pediatrician walked in and said "well, she's a very big girl!"  at +34 pounds, she's in the 86th percentile - our biggest kids yet!  for reference, livi was 31 pounds at 3 and jacks was 32 pounds.  lyla is also 1 inch taller than the twins were at 3.

lyla is very affectionate and always insists on "huggies" and "tisses" before we walk out the door - she even insists to share my pillow if she finds her way to our bed in the middle of the night, which is still 6 out of 7 nights right now...we just can't muster the energy to walk her back to her room in the middle of the night.  john loves those middle of the night visits too, especially when she kicks him repeatedly in the back!

lyla is such a silly girl, just like her big sister, and also like her big sister at 3, she loves to test jacks' patience on an hourly basis. she just gets in his stuff (sometimes on accident and sometimes on purpose) and he reacts big, which then fuels her fire.  lyla also cries A LOT...like way too much...i guess she takes after her big brother in the area of "big emotions"!
