punta mita, mexico! (part two of two)

as promised, here are more pictures from our fantastic vacation. for 57 days before the trip, jacks would come out of his room every single night at bedtime to ask "how many days til mexico?" we literally counted down the days to the trip and he and liv were beyond excited to go! even though they don't count down anymore, they still ask us when we're going back to mexico...we now tell them they better ask abuelo! ;)

jacks made a furry friend

swim diaper on and ready to go

cheer practice!

enjoying the gigantic hot tub

lyla had a blast rinsing suits and rash guards

olympic-quality synchronized jumping

pre-dinner picture

the most beautiful high chair
(you don't see these at home anymore)

mama's girl

photo credit goes to miss liv

more liv pictures...she sure does love the camera!

jacks was (shockingly) busy watching the waves

we went for a quick adventure to check out
all the big crabs on the rocks

ready to hit the beach!

trying to catch "baby" lyla

wait for me!!

they were watching the waves roll in

when a "big" one was headed their way, jacks got
protective of lyla...a side of him we don't usually see

not sure what she was looking at...likely a bird

one more year and she'll be able to keep up

back and forth, back and forth

we quickly realized that this attempt at a
family picture was not going to be successful

post-swim swing

we had fun cruising in the golf cart during the afternoons...
we saw a fox, an iguana and tons of birds on these outings

on our last night, it was time to try and take a real family picture

the sun didn't cooperate...it was way too bright!

the whole amazing gang!!

me and the baby

girl talk

their last pink panther of the trip

so serious about her drink!

marcela and jacksie

marcela and "olli"
(what marcela sweetly called liv)

his last sunset (for this trip)

we couldn't get over the amazing colors of the sky

we could have watched the waves forever

but alas, it was this little one's bedtime

she finally wanted to wear her new costume...
so we had to oblige

ready to enjoy our last morning of the trip

we are going to miss this place...we practically had it all to ourselves

wave chasing again?!?

yep, one last time!

from the beach to the pool...everyday

while they loved riding up front with abuelo, they also
liked the thrill of facing backwards!

thank goodness for the breeze, but
we were still sweaty messes!

three generations of pelle boys

packed, showered and sun-kissed!

killing time in the airport

the silliest of the bunch!

they were thrilled to get special treats once we got through customs

still smiling while we waited for
our car on a frigid san francisco evening
