we can't believe we are less than a month away from having 2 year olds! the past couple of weeks have actually been a welcomed change from a good month of sick, crying and whiny toddlers. lately they've been laughing, talking, and singing constantly which keeps the whole house in an upbeat and playful mood!
the other night i was trying to coax them upstairs to get ready for bed and was utterly exhausted, especially thinking about the task ahead - two diaper changes, two sets of pajamas, two mouths of teeth to brush, lots of books, two sleep sacks and kisses for two children and six stuffed friends. and all the munchkins could do was run away from me, laughing hysterically, and hiding under the 5 foot tall stuffed giraffe. they thought it was hilarious. after a failed attempt at reasoning with them, i couldn't help but smile and appreciate the sound of their giggles and their sheer joy from ganging up on mom.

after tupac and pink graced us with their presence last halloween, we knew we had to keep up with the fun costume ideas, especially since this is likely the last year where they will happily wear whatever we give them. sadly, i shut down john's first choice for jacks, which was mike tyson...for some reason (?!) i just couldn't get onboard with putting tattoo on my baby's FACE. so john told me his second choice, and it was perfect. even though the top hats look more like pimp hats, jacks and liv were naturals and looked like perfect baby versions of lloyd christmas and harry dunne from dumb and dumber...bravo john!
