14 months and growing like weeds! over the past couple of weeks, their appetites have been increasing yet they aren't getting fatter?? i think the time has finally arrived where we can actually say they are leaning out - it took awhile but they are no longer little chunkers.
we had a relatively rough two weeks - the babies first caught a stomach bug and had some stinky stuff pour out of their bodies. we had recently tried dropping them to one nap but quickly added the second nap back in during this time since they needed the extra sleep. right after they recovered, jackson was a mess for a few days - after we saw the mounds under his gums, we totally understood why he was so irritable. welcome molars!
thankfully, they were in great moods this weekend, just in time for nana snoozie and papa bob's visit. we all got some good smiles watching them dance. their signature moves used to be twisting back and forth, but now once that music starts, they bend their knees and thrust their hips around...it's quite the sight. today jackson was close to getting a little air (jumping soon??), and is even walking backwards (i imagine this is a developmental step?!). livi prefers a foot tap with her right leg to show her enthusiasm for the tune. their favorite song now is 'if you're happy and you know it'. jacks and liv clap their hands, stomp their feet and throw their hands up to say hooray!!
also, in case anyone was worried, they have both discovered their noses and we often find them walking around with a finger one inch deep in a nostril. i mean i guess it is pretty cool how perfectly it fits in there.
