we celebrated the babies' 5 month birthday yesterday! we let them choose how they wanted to spend the day...lucky for me they wanted to check out target followed by lunch at chipotle. =) because it was really hot out, at home livi and jackson were hanging out pantless (with diapers on, of course). john didn't necessarily like seeing livi's diaper in the pics below but i'd much rather see those thick legs than the same pair of leggings she always has on.

they've been more comfortable sitting up in their little high chairs and bumbos so we decided to try out their big kid stroller seats. bye-bye bassinets! it was so nice having them sit up on walks - they can see the world, including our smiling faces, as we walk around town. we also got them a jumper where they can sit, bounce around and play with new toys. while a little hesitant at first, both seemed to really enjoy it!

they've been really good about hanging in their high chairs while i empty the dishwasher, make coffee, etc. only one month until they're actually eating in those chairs! when john came home from work the other night, he caught us dancing to some christmas music (my year-round vice thanks to mariah carey's holiday album). jackson and i were dancing around the kitchen providing entertainment to liv.
