6 years + 9 months...and 3 years + 8 months

the kids are back in school!  jacks and livi started in august and are in separate classrooms for the first time ever.  they both love their teachers and it's fun to see them at home telling stories or teaching the other about something interesting they learned in the their class.  they are both pretty amazing at soccer too (from my mommy-perspective at least) - livi claims not to like it but she's gotten good so i think she does secretly enjoy it (at least that's what i'm hoping!).

lyla also finally started school!  it's about time - we're all thrilled for her to have teachers (that she may actually listen to) and friends her age.  she is the oldest one in her class of 24, and it has been really nice to see her adjust easily and take some of the other kids under her wing.  the teachers said they can tell she is a younger sibling as she uses toys very "creatively"...like riding down a hill sitting in the back of a toy dump truck (that other kids just push around).  no broken bones yet!
