5 years + 7 months...and 2 years + 6 months!

i am very happy to report that since bones' tragic passing about 6 weeks ago, life hasn't thrown us any more lemons.  thankfully, things have been looking up and we've all been enjoying the summer so far!  below are pictures from some of our summer adventures.

our crew

my monsters

the biggest monster of all!

my new angel baby
(more on herbie in the next post)

she did great at her check-up and is healthy as an ox
(~75% in weight, ~50% in height)

jacks was glued to the tv during the warriors playoffs ...
the perfect sport to practice his math skills

strutting her stuff

just the ladies

everyone encouraged me while I did my physical therapy exercises

a visit to auntie keet and uncle mike's new house

it was hot as h$ll so the kids were excited for a little water fun

they tested different techniques...this was our favorite

cooling off with grapes in the shade

a family pic before abuelo headed to the airport

morning milk (apparently to cure a hangover?)

a messy dinner means no shirt

my cure for a stubbed toe...an ice water bath and pocky!

crazy shenanigans

i have about 10 pics of them being super silly and just plain adorable

and then they started wrestling

here kitty, kitty

pizza date with my babies

ice cream!!!!!

jacks' to-do list...
clean-up, watch a show, skate on blocks

at least their shirts fit

time to climb the big hill home from soccer camp

it's apparently hat day

at least one of them is not acting like a ham 24/7

ballet class is back on!

morning snuggles

hanging out while we get ready for work

silly "sammy" as livi calls her

a 5 year old pedicab

looking good, lyla!

more fun at the park

finally, a slide for the whole family

i wonder if any adults think this looks fun?!

these three helped us test out some new cars at the dealership

city kids on the bus

jacks and i made a quick detour when running errands

not exactly sure what's going on here...

action shot

our first trip to the marin county fair

lyla and i preferred the animals over the rides

i was pretty amazed at the variety of animals there

post-dinner ice cream cones

cheers!

lyla's first soft serve cone

needless to say, she enjoyed it

3rd of july fireworks
(while we were next in line for the ferris wheel)

first real fireworks show for the kids!

2nd annual camping trip with preschool families

it was so unbelievably hot

but it's never too hot for s'mores!

we had a blast...and even came home with mosquito bites as souvenirs

goodnight!  see you at the next blog post.
