lyla continues to be amazing. the twins moved into the guest room, and then lyla moved into their new room. so far things have been going well - we typically try to put lyla down first and then bring in the twins for bed later, but today we threw them all in there together and lyla was able to fall asleep while jacks and livi 'quietly' built bridges between their beds with stuffed animals, books, and furniture. she's got 2 adorable teeth and can scoot in reverse, but isn't crawling forwards yet.
jacks and liv have been a lot of fun lately - very little crying and tons of silliness. they adjusted beautifully to a brand new all-day summer camp in the presidio, and everyday came back filthy and with lots of 'treasures' in their backpacks (eg. feathers, rocks, wood chips). jacks continues to be a happy and mellow little boy. he's still obsessed with buses, and can literally spend an hour playing with his own min-bus at home...driving it around, making parking garages for it, labeling it the '38R' or the '1BX,' bringing it to bed...
livi has told her first few lies. john went into the kitchen and noticed her lips and fingers were stained blue so he asked what she was eating. livi said 'nothing.' although the piece of blue m&m shell stuck to her lip provided us with a pretty clear clue of what happened, she kept trying to convince us that the blue was paint. no matter how many different ways we asked, she stuck to her story...and 2 days later amazon delivered the book 'the berenstain bears and the truth'!

| finally some real smiles! |

they even taught us about poison oak |
| the pellegrini girls |
the best part of camp was that they worked up an appetite
and scarfed down dinner without any complaints! |
| i braved a kid musical with these three and some preschool families |
| what a beauty |
the sweet smile that appears when
the twins aren't scaring the crap out of her |
| concentration |
| the kids amuse themselves while i shower and get ready |
| a morning cuddle |

| baby on a big-kid slide |
| just hanging at home |
we got this in a party goody bag and i was hoping they'd
forget about them, but alas, she asked me every day for
5 days if she could have her "popsicle" |
| her first lollipop did not disappoint |
| they started off so sweet on our trip to target |
| things then went downhill pretty quickly |
| i'm just so sorry, lyla |
| at least lyla gets some devoted alone time with sheila |
| getting closer to crawling! |
| little stinker...already making faces |

| livi lent lyla her headband |

| i just can't get enough of her cuteness with that headband |
| enjoying the unseasonably warm weather |
| working on her sandcastle skills |
one of my absolute favorite things is
