leanne's last day with us =(

after three glorious years together, leanne is moving on and starting a new gig at a great non-profit organization called Bring Change 2 Mind. words cannot express how grateful we are to her and how much we will miss seeing her practically everyday! as a parting gift, we made her a photo book of all the wonderful adventures she's shared with jacks and liv over the years. below is the message the twins wrote to her:

to our dearest leanne,
we love you more than you can imagine. our faces light up every time you come over and every time mom and dad mention your name. we are the amazing, silly, and sweet little kids that we are because of you, and our parents thank you so very much for that.
thank you for always being patient with us, teaching us how to use the potty, treating us to ice cream thursdays, taking us to swim school, and most importantly, introducing us to frozen.
we made this book so you don’t forget all of the special moments we’ve shared together over the past three years. we can’t wait for you to have a baby of your own soon…with you for a mom, we know the baby will be one cool kid!
you are our best friend, the raisins in our porridge, the helmet to our scooters, the tiles that make our tower, the bubbles in our tubby, and the anna to our elsa.
xoxo,  your wee man and wee woman

learning about germs - they're not for sharing!

leanne and her friends arranged a special date on a sunday morning

the day got even better when leanne let them
choose anything they wanted at target!

monday, march 30 - her official last day! =(

thank goodness the twins had no idea

the whole gang!

i was so depressed when leanne left...
not even yogurt with sprinkles made me feel better

now that they're out of cribs,
we see the darnedest things on the monitor!

reading together

practicing "back float" from swim class

not sure why they aren't wearing shirts!

sleepwalker?

off to a pellegrini picnic

pizza at a picnic? why not?

not the most relaxing outing we've had

collecting flowers (aka weeds)

getting ready for a birthday dinner

ryann and i turned 30 (again)!
killing some time with all three kiddos

enjoying a leisurely sunday morning breakfast

milkshakes and babies...two of my favorite things!

delighted

concerned

estatic

exhausted

baby blood draws suck

she survived!

her afternoon nap

tubby time

in honor of patrick willis' retirement

learning the art of baseball

backyard bubbles

taking the bubbles on the road

bones has some competition for leftovers

it's so hard to get anything done around here!!

livi gives lyla a shot on her forehead while
jacks uses a dustpan and broom to clean off her belly

such great helpers
snuggles before bed

grandma susie came for a visit

lyle's first shopping trip!

practicing the crane kick from karate kid

jacks hard at work while livi chats under the slide

it took a few months, but jacks finally overcame his fear
of the bouncy house (after one collapsed on him!)

so many preschool birthday parties = so many cupcakes

2nd birthday party of the day - nonstop fun!

taste-testing some donuts

they weren't very good

the coolest swing ever

happy st. paddy's day!
(to be fair, there was really loud construction going on)

attempt #2 for a cute pic didn't turn out much better

this is the third year livi has sported that tutu
...still looks great!

spring party at school

all the kids made their very own spring crowns

and the morning ended with a hoedown

our favorite pose he picked up at school
to let us know he's mad!

five buddies headed to the nail salon for a playdate from our school auction

i thought they would freak out, but were total naturals!

he was born to be pampered

after his nails dried, he ran to get fuel...
apparently it was exhausting!

waiting for their last friend to finish up!

back at it with my (most difficult) running partner

this little guy was running in the street when he spotted
us on our run, and after knocking on a few doors, we
found his home...i can't believe bones didn't even try
to eat him!
