super soccer tots!

we signed up the little ones for soccer tots on saturday mornings, and the class we are in is for 18-23 month-olds so ours are two of the youngest (and it shows at times!).  while jacks' attention to the coaches' instruction isn't exactly up to snuff, he sure has fun stacking cones, putting the balls in the goal and playing with the hoola hoops.  livi, on the other hand, requires lots of warming up before she shows any signs of joy during soccer.  for the past month, she's been in a clingy phase in general so her whining and constant need to be held at practice isn't surprising and hopefully just temporary.  since she's the only girl of about 10 in our group, she's got to represent the ladies on the field and score some goals!

fueling up - don't want a leg cramp on the field!

lots and lots of fun

on the other hand...how cute is this?!?

she's tempted by the cone, but still has tabs on me
here we go - getting into it!

everybody grab a ball from the 'monkey house'

she dribbled so far and even had a crowd cheering her on!

every class ends with the parachute

time to huddle underneath (can you sense their enthusiasm?)

here we go...on three, 1-2-3- soccer tots!!

waiting patiently for their end-of-class stamps
(they get to select their favorite and then coach dips it in ink and stamps their hand)

last week she chose the police car stamp for both hands...jacks chose a butterfly

the kids favorite part of soccer is when it ends...

and they get to go to this cool playground!

until next saturday...
